Hindu female’s Rights

Protecting and Empowering Hindu females

Hindu women, both in India and across the diaspora—including Pakistan, Bangladesh, the USA, the UK, and other Western countries—face relentless and grave challenges. These include forced religious conversions, abductions, coerced marriages, online abuse, and blackmail. Many violations, often disguised as “love jihad” or conversion rackets, affect millions annually and frequently involve trafficking and exploitation. These abuses are driven by extremist agendas, inadequate legal protections, social marginalization, and systemic failures that deny justice.

Forced conversions and coerced marriages fracture Hindu families and communities, robbing women of their rights, identities, and dignity.

Hindu girls are disproportionately vulnerable to abduction, trafficking, and coercion with little accountability for perpetrators.

The term “love jihad” is weaponized—stigmatizing interfaith relationships while obscuring widespread coercion and conversion-related exploitation.

Existing legal frameworks and enforcement are insufficient to protect Hindu women’s freedoms and provide justice.

Hindu women in diaspora communities face cultural and religious marginalization, including grooming gangs exploiting vulnerabilities, emphasizing a critical need for global empowerment.

In Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kashmir, temples often suffer under the control or threat of jihadi groups, with reports of vandalism, desecration, urination on temple premises, and destruction.

In diaspora countries like the UK, USA, and Canada, Hindu temples are targeted by Khalistani separatists, jihadi groups, and aggressive missionary efforts.

Temples and Hindu maths in sensitive regions such as Kashmir, Amarnath, Vaishno Devi, Kailash Parvat, and across Pakistan and Bangladesh are under constant threat of attack or takeover.

At Hindu Rights Watch, women’s rights are fundamental to our mission. Our efforts align with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5—achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls worldwide. True empowerment of Hindu women demands addressing their unique struggles, shielding them from forced conversions, trafficking, and abuse, while uplifting their dignity, autonomy, and leadership.
